Web maintenance and processes

TODO: planning for future improvements.
web update process: help files that describe how to create trip web sites (old!)
create_backdrops: process to parse all trip images into web pages & pics for xbox, tv, and ipod
fix_psindex: updates old Photoshop elements html slideshows to use my javascript instead.
update_html: removes FrontPage hidden char corruption from index files - only seen in headers. (takes 5 mins - may have to run via putty)
sitemap: create and submit sitemaps to Google for better searching and indexing
google adds: get click through add icons for advertising revenue. (no $$ for us so far)
captcha: attempts to defeat spammers

Functionality tests

These tests figure out how to use web server capabilities and explore how CGI, HTML, and CSS work across various browsers. It's better to test things here instead of messing with production pages others could be viewing, and easier to start with a simple example.

SSI: Server Side Includes (only works with .shtml files, not .shtm nor .html)
Basic Authorization and accounts
Frontpage 2003 constructs
Various html tests: hide wraparound text, table cell highlight on rollover, etc.
Image tests: hover caption and buttons (tests: 1, 2, 3)
borders: try to eliminate white space to top and left of page in both IE and firefox (tests: 1, 2, 3, 4)
Frames: play with frames code to adjust frame sizes. (tests: 1)
