Caption: We visited Symi on a day tour. You can find many tours along the docks in Rhodes, but beware, they all exaggerate. [2.5 hours at sea became close to 5] We visited Panormitis first [ok], then the main town of Symi [very cute].

Location: Symi is part of the Dodecanese island chain, easily reached from Rhodes or Kos. It's a small island, we visited the main port city Symi as well as the Monastaery of Panormitis on the other side. The port bay and town are quite picturesque, and worth a hike up one of the main hills for a better view. We saw a few isolated beaches, only reachable by water taxi due to sheer cliffs, that we'd like to come back and visit.
